A Six Hour Beanie

April 2, 2012

It was really stupid of me to make this in one sitting but it was one of those I’m-so-close-to-finishing-I-should-just-finish-it-even-though-i’m-dying moments. My wrists are paying for it today.

It’s this pattern but I got rid of two sts per repeat and worked the decreases every row for a smaller beanie version.

Lily’s also injured; she landed incorrectly after an epic frisbee catch. Poor thing doesn’t understand why she can’t run.

My sister’s birthday celebration was pretty low key on Saturday. I gave her her beloved turkey jerky from Trader Joe’s andwent to Polly’s Pies for dinner. The dessert came from Porto’s and while it was delicious, I was way disappointed in their service. I asked for a dozen rolls to be split in two boxes and was informed I would be charged for the additional box and wouldn’t be given the dozen discount…what? I’m still ordering a dozen and they give boxes on the other side for free. Wack. (How much I would have saved is so not the point. )

Poor Lily! Don’t you hate when you have to try to keep them still? That might be the worst part about being a dog parent, is you can’t explain things to them. I’m glad you and your sister had fun, despite the wackness. 🙂

It is! So heartbreaking. She kept bringing me a frisbee to toss and would sulk to her bed when I didn’t toss it. 😦 Thanks!
