Meet Lily’s New Playmate!

His name is Hugo Boss and he’s a seventeen month old frenchie. Poor fella couldn’t catch a break with his previous two homes.
I picked him up this morning and since then he’s been Lily’s shadow. They’re so smitten with each other it’s great!
The two of them are passed out behind me after an epic romp in the park . I’m still not used to calling his name so there were a few moments he got away from me and into the water. I freaked at first but then another woman had her dog in there too so uh…NBD I guess.
Tonight is Lily’s birthday celebration; my piglet is turning TWO! Like last year, all the dogs (Hugo included) will have outfits.
So off I go for some last minute preparations. Cheers from Lily, Hugo, and me!

Me too! Was a bit nervous at first though, Lily’s always been sociable but frenchies in general are said to be territorial.

oh my gosh he is so cute!! what a precious pair. congratulations on your new addition! I think every doggy needs a friend. I know my pug is much happier now that she has a little pug friend.
It’s only been two days but I think she enjoys the new addition too. They’re playing non-stop!

Two Frenchies?! He’s a handsome boy! Why has he been returned from two previous homes, were these people crazy? Frenchies are the nicest dogs around so I can’t fathom why someone would adopt one and then return it (unless they had small kids but even so that’s something they should have researched). Anyway, Happy Birthday Lily and welcome to Hugo!
The first owners didn’t do any training and made him an outside dog before deciding he was too much work (because he was never trained!). The second owners house-trained him but they had a dog that Hugo didn’t get along with. He’s food aggressive so we’re trying to work that issue out now but other than that he’s pretty fantastic.

His full name is actually “Hugo Boss of the Plains”! Fancy pants I tell ya.
OMG he looks JUST like one of Fergies brothers! Shes 16 Months too. Same black spot on the butt like her and everything. Do you know where the original owners got him?!
