Excited

First things first. My glitter boots are ah-mazing.

Second. I have to make an outfit for a badass super cool frontwoman. I sketched the third ensemble (far right) with her in mind and the two on the left were sketched with me in mind. I’d love to rock the third myself but it’s a little over the top for day to day wear and I won’t be singing onstage anytime soon. Sorry for the purposely crappy photo but I can’t show too much.

I’ve been running around L.A. for fabric and trim but apparently sparkly fabric is dated and not easy to find. There were two options for fringe and I decided to go with the leather one. The yarn one was said to be Sgt. Pepper-y and Anthropologie-ish. Not bad, just not ideal for this jacket or the look I’m going for.

The other swatches will be put into the pants and top I think…haven’t decided yet. At the top right of the photo you can see pink sequins–I originally wanted that for the jacket but wasn’t able to find enough material.

I’ve been dealing with a gnarly cold the past few days and I’m hoping it clears up soon. I have family from London and Sweden over for the next two weeks and a sick hostess is never good!
