Akoya

I don’t know what the color looks like to you but in real life it’s rasberry-ish with tufts of blue, pink, and yellow. Nice and tweedy, I dig it. I had to add an extra button at the top because my size in the pattern didn’t have one there (guess the math didn’t work out?).

Question for the computer savvy–is there a rule of thumb as far as color saturation for photos so it’s decent (I know there’s going to be some variation) across all monitors? It looks fine on my laptop but I went to my Mom’s desktop and was nearly blinded.

I always have troubles with reds in photos. If you find out the answer please let me know!

This is gorgeous! Is this color 150? I just bought a bunch from Webs and can’t wait to cast on with it!

Thank you! I believe it is (looking at the label it says SH with a 150 underneath). I had no problems with it but others reported breakage + itchiness from the guard hairs.

I love the tweedy yarn with this pattern. I wouldn’t have thought of pairing them together, but the flecks really work well with the textures of the sweater.

I was a bit skeptical too but I like that it looks a bit worn. A lot more casual I think!

I love the tweediness! Great color too. There’s no cure-all that I know of, it really depends on the type of monitor/screen that a person has, and what adjustments they’ve made to it for their eyes. You just can’t make ’em all happy, is what I figure.

I guess that means I can stop running back and forth between three monitors to find the happy medium!
