Beach Day
It’s finally starting to feel like summer in California and I’m so, so excited. To celebrate I went with two of my friends to the beach!
After a few hours of catching up (it’s been a few months since one lives in Santa Barbara) I started missing Lily-Buns. I felt like I was betraying her since the dog beach was the next one over.
On the way back to the car I got a little too confident in my bike-riding skills. I was going faster than I should have and couldn’t turn the handle bar quick enough to avoid the giant concrete island in the middle of the crosswalk. I crashed my borrowed Hello Kitty beach cruiser and flew off the damn thing.
My friends immediately denied any association with me which is understandable, I would’ve done the same.
I was going to bring my latest WIP with me (Habitat) but didn’t feel like carrying a bag (I rocked a fanny pack). I’m not sure if the yarn I chose is the best choice for this project but I’ll find out soon.
Happy Wednesday!
Hello Kitty is everywhere! I need to buy that for my daughter… so I can ride it.
i love that photo of the life guard stand. yeah. i feel guilty not taking the pups to the beach when i go. it’s way too hot here for me to take them though, they’d only last a short while.
looks like a fun day! minus the bike-crash. ouch. 🙂
