Frogging

So, I tried convincing myself I could live with an effed up sweater but really, who was I kidding?

After that post I set it aside and did other things to distract myself from the suck.

I wouldn’t sell or give away anything that’s not made to the best of my abilities, so why wouldn’t I use the same standards for the things I make myself?

Yeah, I put a few hours here and there into it, but I would look like (and be!) a damn fool if I just continued on.

Even Lily was like, “WTF Momma?”

In case you didn’t notice, I’m using a wooden spoon to wind the yarn. I misplaced my nostepinne (MAJOR SAD FACE) but knew that if I waited any longer to frog it’d sit there for another week or two.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to eat some ice cream and watch The Biggest Loser.

I can’t even tell you how many project’s I’ve ripped apart or teared up over because they were so jacked up. My mom always told me “who’s going to notice!!!” UM me and I could never live with anything a bit messed up. I feel your pain lady

I’m sad, too. I feel bad. I hate it when crafts goes wrong…wait, I hate when anything goes wrong. I don’t know how to knit, so I can’t even give you a wity, yet useful comment. I’ll just curl up in a ball and rock myself calm for you.

What a combination eat ice cream and watch the biggest loser. I can admire you for setting high standards. Wish more people were like you when they sell a craft they have made. You are so lucky though to have such fine crafting abilities. This piece looked lovely to me. Lily does feel your pain!

Eeeek. When I screw up a cable (which happens a lot, I have difficulty remaining focused) I usually just drop the entire cable (plus one of the purl stitches on each side of the cable), then re-knit just the cable using DPNs. The tension is sometimes a bit wonky though, but that way you don’t lose ALL your hard work.
