Krochet Kids

July 28, 2010

Half an hour ago my Mom told me to watch channel 58.3 because there was something about crochet kids. In my head I was like, “Do I really want to see little kids crochet?” I flipped to the channel anyway and realized I had it all wrong.

Krochet Kids International is a non-profit organization that employs women from Uganda to crochet hats which are then sold.  By purchasing from KKI you are helping them give these women a stable income and the opportunity to provide for others. If you’re not into wearing hats or would rather make it yourself, you can also support their efforts by purchasing some t-shirts, stickers, laptop covers, or tanks.

And to think this was all started by three surfer/skater dudes in need of something to keep their heads warm!
