I’m On A Roll
I should’ve known better. Granny squares are addicting. I already started on my second cushion.
I was crocheting with such intensity I snapped my hook. Whoops. I’m also trying the join-as-you-go method. I much prefer it to sewing the squares together but I don’t like that you can see the join (teal going into the light blue on the two connected grannies to the left). Ah well.
Making my Mother’s cushion really renewed my love for crochet. I must admit I put it on the back burner for a while choosing to knit instead, but I LOVE the possibilities with color and that instant retro-springy-rad-happy feeling with granny square afghans, cushions, bags, or… whatever else there is.
I think I’m going to be on this ‘high’, as I told my cousin earlier, for a while. I don’t think it’s a bad thing… I just wish I knew more people who need cushions!
