There’s No Such Thing As Too Much Grey
January 31, 2013
My friend asked me for a cowl a few months ago. It took a bit of coercing but eventually I agreed. I went back and forth between something classic, like a heavily cabled scarf, or something more current. When I asked his preference all he said was, “It’s up to you. Surprise me.” That only made it 10x harder.
Fast forward to last week, it hit me. Iz by Andi. Simple. Awesome. Perfect.
I almost changed my mind about giving it to him. If he doesn’t like it, he better lie.

I wear tons of grey on top of more grey and black every day.
I have six grey v necks. Totally acceptable, right?
Niiiice,I’m very jealous of your friend!
Thanks, me too!
I love the color, love the fabric. Everything about it is awesome!
Thanks!
LOVE IT! So simple, but so much glorious texture! Are you using some kind of variegated yarn? Or is that some kind of double knit technique that I’m still too nooby to understand? lol Either way, it’s very handsome.
Thanks! I don’t know if the yarn I used is considered variegated but it was hand dyed so there are some darker areas. I used two different yarns, a black and a grey. The whole thing is seed stitch (alternating knit and purl stitches).
Ah very nice! That answered my question. Thank you
Extremely nice! You are a woman of many talents!
Thank you so much, that’s very kind!

Amen on the grey! This pattern is absolutely stunning, love the subtle triangles.

Grey goes with almost everything.
Gorgeous cowl! Love the seeds!
