Remember These?
Mermaid Gloves was one of my first real knitting projects about two years ago. I remember thinking they were pretty intense because I had to *GASP* TRANSFER A STITCH FROM ONE NEEDLE TO ANOTHER EVERY ROUND or something like that. They were buried in my closet and eventually forgotten.
Not sure why I remembered to pull them out today but I’m glad I did. My hands are now warm and fully mobile (they tense up when they’re cold).
After taking a few photos I started thinking about other finished objects. My Boneyard Shawl has been worn all of two times, Beatnik has been worn three times, and my Burberrish Cowl once. Sad, so sad. I need to either 1) move to a colder climate 2) make more SoCal weather appropriate things 3) wear my knits if it means breaking out in heat rash.

I really like these gloves and I know what you mean about not wearing your knitted goods. I have this sweater that is totally bizarre and I have nothing to wear with it so it has been worn a grand total of one times
Those are really really really cute! I would wear the crap out of something like that. As of right now I’m stealing the kids’ fingerless gloves because apparently I have the same fashion sense as an 8 year old boy.
yeah, that’s why i knit so much lace. a light lace scarf is wearable even on summer nights!
love them! glad you got to use them. i am the same way. i’ve only worn my boneyard once.
sigh.
Those are so cute! Too bad I don’t know how to knit, though I CAN crochet. I’ve only made afghans, as I am rather intimidated by how complicated making sweaters, gloves, etc, can be.
