Jacket!

November 30, 2011

All that’s left for me to do is the hem, some tacking, and lots of ironing (that’s always my downfall–I SUCK AT IT).  I had a second layer to the skirt but decided the jacket looked better without it. For picture purposes I rolled it up (the black twists on the sides).

If you follow me on twitter you know I have a new appreciation for notched collars, especially those done on tweeds or thick wovens. By the time I was done my seam allowance was completely shredded. I’ll try not to manhandle my fabric next time.

Overall I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. Simple design (if any). Flattering silhouette. Neutral colors. I dig it.

It s wonderfully cut to provide a flattering silhouette and highlights your bump instead of hiding it away.
