Thanksgiving and two WIPs

November 25, 2011

Notice how Lily’s holding her own bone, unlike the previous two pups *ahem* *cough cough* genius *cough* *sneeze*

Just kidding. I was too grossed out to hold the bone for her (I don’t eat meat).

Lily was eyeing the cakes all night so after getting the OK from me, the brother in law gave her some.

Works in progress–the sleeves on my Akoya have been neglected for about a week…they’re just so… blegh. I’m working them two at a time in the round which might be part of the problem since I’m constantly having to set them down to pull/rotate/untangle.

The second work in progress is a cowl. I’m knitting it flat and seaming because I didn’t like the way the stitch pattern looked vertically. It’s basically a bunch of tuck stitches (knitting into the stitch below) that creates a really dense fabric.

Have any of you started knitting/sewing/crocheting Christmas gifts? DOESN’T IT SUCK?! ;)

I started my Christmas presents before the wedding. I crocheted some slippers for my mum and a necklace for my sister. I also did a granny square blanket for one of the nephews. I want to knit a monster for another one of the nephews from a Rebecca Danger pattern and I think that will be the last of the knitting. I have a couple of things I want to sew but just need the time.

YEAH IT DOES! I’m trying out different things so it doesn’t have to just all be knitting! >:x

on the pull rotate untangle issue, try popping each ball into a ziplock bag, i do this for two at a time socks and just slide the bags back and forth with my feet, much less tangle i find
