Fisheye Fail
I only got four decent photos out of two rolls of film. In my defense, the first roll was from 3 years ago when I didn’t know as much about cameras as I do now. All four came from the second roll taken last year. I have high expectations for my third!
Shooting with film used to give me anxiety…it felt way too permanent (for lack of a better word).
I had no idea what the photo I just took looked like, I couldn’t go back and retake the shot, and then I had one less chance to capture memories. I was just so used to the instant gratification and unlimited memory with digital cameras that it was hard to give up! Because of all this I “saved” my film for years.
I’m slowly realizing how awesome film can be though.
Happy Friday! Tomorrow’s my birthday and I’ll be heading to L.A. Hopefully I remember to take some pictures!

i don’t think it was a fail at all. i know it’s discouraging to get so many few good shots – but you’ll get better. you just have to learn your camera’s quirks & also find that film speed that works for you.
i do really love that first shot!
and lily and the one of you too.
& happy happy birthday. hope it was awesome.
