Habitat
I know I went overboard with the bokeh (is that the proper term for the blurring?) but honestly, it makes me feel fancy. I included sharp images below!
Knew from the beginning my yarn choice (acrylic) wasn’t the best but continued anyway. I hoped with all my might it wouldn’t look too tragic without blocking and, looking at the end result, it doesn’t! Once it’s on my head I don’t think anyone will point and say, “SHE DIDN’T BLOCK IT!” but correct me if I’m wrong.
Pattern: Habitat by Jared Flood
Yarn: Bernat Satin Solids
Needles:US 7 and US 8
Start/Finish: 6.14.11/6.19.11
For rounds 30, 32, 34: You’re basically slipping the stitch. It will become the last stitch of the next round (31, 33, 35).
It was a quick knit. I will definitely make another!
Also, sorry if the photos are blinding. I work from a lap top and have been needing to get my screen re-calibrated for ages. I noticed that images viewed on my screen are darker than when viewed on a regular screen.

I love it. Love the cables. Looks good to me not being blocked. I blocked my first knitted acrylic scarf last week. I was surprised how much the blocking did help with being acrylic. Now question, since I have recently picked up knitting after many years, did you use a circular needle with this project?
Hi Cathy! Thank you
The pattern called for a 16″ circular needle but I used a 40″ and magic looped it.
Gorgeous colour! I don’t think it needs to be blocked at all. Truth be told I never block beanies. I only ever block my cardigans.
so pretty. that colors is lovely too.
