Yay!
February 6, 2010
I’m having a lot of fun with these granny squares–I’ve already made quite a few!
And I’ve finally come to the conclusion that I am not a neat crafter.
My Hemlock Ring Blanket has finally been blocked, but I’m not quite satisfied with the dry cleaner’s steam job so I’m going to attack it this weekend…but only if it stops raining long enough for me to purchase some blocking pins! I tried with regular sewing pins before but they didn’t really cut it. I’ll post a better picture of the entire blanket in all it’s glory when it doesn’t look so tragic.

I’ve just given these types of granny squares a go too and just love them. And they’re so much more interesting to do than normal granny squares.
let me know if you find a good place around here to buy blocking pins! I tried the two LYSes closest to UCI & neither had them.
the granny squares look awesome!
I don’t know of any places near UCI that carry blocking pins…I tried my local Joann’s but even they don’t carry them! I might have to order them online somewhere
Thank you!
