First Granny Square!
My first one! (Which is really weird since I’ve known how to crochet since I was six!)
My Mom told me these are her favorite things to make since they’re “so fun and a perfect way to use up scraps”. Sadly she doesn’t have the time to make them herself, so I guess she will just have to live vicariously through me!
I’m probably going to give this soon-to-be blanket to her. She doesn’t know it yet… Thank goodness she’s not tech savvy…
Random fact: As I said, I learned to crochet way back when I was six. Granted I could only chain, but it was something! I remember one of my first projects was a bag with pink yarn. She made the bag part, and I made the strap. I asked her if I could tell people I made the whole thing, and she said yes–At the time I thought I was so stinkin’ sneaky.
